How to use your DM link
- Enter the username of the account that should get the messages, the name after the @ on its profile.
- Copy the link and open it on a phone and on a computer, from a different account if you can. It should open a chat with you.
- Put it where people look for a way to reach you: a "Message us" button on your site, your email signature, your bio, or a Story.
- Tell people what to send, for example "Tap here and send PRICE". That first word is what an auto reply can match.
The format is https://ig.me/m/ followed by the username. It is a Meta short link that many tools use. Meta decides how it behaves and can change that, so test your link before you print it.
Answer the DMs your link brings in
