You connect a Facebook Page from Settings → Connected accounts in the dashboard. You need to be an owner or admin of the VivaDialog workspace, and an admin of the Page on Facebook.
Steps
- In the dashboard, open Settings and find Connected accounts.
- Click Connect Facebook Page. Facebook opens in the same window.
- Log in to Facebook if it asks.
- When Facebook asks which Pages to share, tick every Page you want to manage in VivaDialog.
- Leave every permission switched on, then confirm.
- If Facebook shared more than one Page, VivaDialog asks you to choose. Tick the Pages to connect and click Connect selected.
When it is done you see “[Page name] connected”. New comments on the Page’s posts and new Messenger DMs start arriving in the inbox.
Pages that you manage through a Meta Business Portfolio can be connected the same way. Share them when Facebook asks.
What VivaDialog can do with a connected Page
- Show comments on the Page’s posts and the Page’s Messenger DMs in one inbox.
- Reply to those comments and DMs, by hand or with a rule.
The full list of permissions, and why each one is needed, is in Facebook and Instagram permissions explained.
If the connection fails
- No Facebook Page was shared: start again and tick the Page when Facebook asks. You must be an admin of the Page.
- A permission was switched off: start again and leave every permission on. VivaDialog needs all of them to read and answer comments and messages.
- Your plan’s account limit is reached: disconnect an account you no longer use, or move to a bigger plan.
- Already connected to another workspace: a Page can belong to one VivaDialog workspace at a time. Disconnect it there first.
- This connection link expired: a connection link works once and lasts 10 minutes. Start again.
After you connect
Each account in Connected accounts shows a status. If it says Login expired or Disconnected, click Reconnect to keep receiving comments and DMs.
Next: connect your Instagram account or set up your first automatic reply.
