When you connect an account, Facebook lists the permissions VivaDialog asks for. Each one maps to something the inbox or a rule does.
Facebook Page
pages_show_list: see the list of Pages you manage, so you can pick which ones to connect.pages_read_engagement: read basic information about the Page and its posts.pages_read_user_content: read the comments people leave on the Page’s posts.pages_manage_engagement: post a reply to those comments.pages_messaging: read and answer the Page’s Messenger DMs.pages_manage_metadata: subscribe the Page to updates, so new comments and DMs reach the inbox without waiting for a sync.business_management: find Pages that you manage through a Meta Business Portfolio.
instagram_basic: read the profile of your Instagram professional account.instagram_manage_comments: read comments on your posts and reply to them.instagram_manage_messages: read and answer your Instagram DMs.pages_show_listandpages_read_engagement: find the Facebook Page your Instagram account is linked to. Meta requires these for the two Instagram permissions above.pages_manage_metadata: subscribe to updates, as for a Page.business_management: find Pages and Instagram accounts managed through a Business Portfolio.
Threads
Threads uses its own login and three permissions: threads_basic (your profile), threads_read_replies (read replies to your posts), and threads_manage_replies (answer them). Threads has no API for DMs, so VivaDialog cannot read or send Threads DMs. See what works on Threads.
Why every permission has to stay on
If you switch one off on Facebook’s screen, the part of VivaDialog that depends on it stops working, so the connection is refused and you are asked to start again with all of them on.
Removing access
Disconnect the account in Settings → Connected accounts. You can also remove VivaDialog in your Facebook settings, under business integrations. After that, VivaDialog can no longer read or reply for that account.
