VivaDialog connects to Instagram through Meta’s official login, which goes through Facebook. That sets two requirements:
- Your Instagram account is a professional account (Business or Creator). Personal accounts cannot connect.
- It is linked to a Facebook Page. You can link it in the Instagram app, under your profile’s account settings.
You also need to be an owner or admin of the VivaDialog workspace.
Steps
- In the dashboard, open Settings and find Connected accounts.
- Click Connect Instagram. Facebook opens.
- Log in to Facebook with the profile that manages the Page your Instagram account is linked to.
- When Facebook asks which Pages and Instagram accounts to share, tick the Page and the Instagram account.
- Leave every permission switched on, then confirm.
- If more than one Instagram account was shared, choose the ones to connect and click Connect selected.
When it is done, new comments on your posts and new Instagram DMs start arriving in the inbox.
If no Instagram account is found
This almost always means the Instagram account is not professional, or not linked to a Page you shared. Fix the link in the Instagram app, then connect again and share that Page.
Good to know
- An Instagram account can belong to one VivaDialog workspace at a time.
- Each connected account counts toward your plan’s account limit.
- Connecting Instagram does not connect the Facebook Page as well. To manage the Page’s own comments and Messenger DMs, connect the Page too.
