Read YouTube comments in VivaDialog

Updated 23 October 2026

VivaDialog reads your channel’s comments and shows them in the Inbox, grouped by video. You reply on YouTube itself: VivaDialog never posts there. YouTube is included from the Silver plan.

Connect a channel

  1. Owners and admins open Settings and find the YouTube channel card.
  2. Click Connect YouTube and sign in with Google. VivaDialog asks for read-only access to YouTube.
  3. Every channel on that Google account is connected. To add a channel from another Google account, click Connect another channel.

Pull comments

Comments are not fetched on their own. Open the Inbox, choose the YouTube tab, and click Pull comments now.

Pulling comments needs a YouTube comment reading seat, which you add in Billing. Each seat gives 50 units a day. Every request to YouTube uses one unit, so the tab shows an estimate before you pull and how many units are left today. Units reset each day and do not carry over. If a pull runs out of units, the videos it did not reach are included in the next pull.

A pull reads comments from the last 30 days, plus up to 5 replies per comment. Comments written by your own channel are marked as handled. YouTube comments do not count toward your plan’s conversation quota.

Work with the comments

  • Sort with AI labels up to 20 comments of a video (Question, Praise, Complaint, Request, Spam, Other), marks the ones that need an answer, and sums up what viewers say. It uses 1 AI reply.
  • Write a draft writes a reply you can copy with Copy draft. Fill in anything in brackets, then paste it on YouTube. It uses 1 AI reply.
  • Reply on YouTube opens the comment on YouTube in a new tab.
  • Automations can tag, assign, or mark YouTube comments read. They cannot reply there. Flows do not run on YouTube.

YouTube comments are never written to Google Sheets.

How long comments are kept

Comments in VivaDialog are a copy kept for up to 30 days. Deleting them in VivaDialog changes nothing on YouTube. When a video is deleted or made private on YouTube, VivaDialog deletes it and its comments too.

Disconnect or reconnect

Disconnecting removes VivaDialog’s access at Google and deletes the YouTube comments stored here. Nothing changes on YouTube itself.

If Google stops accepting VivaDialog’s access, for example after you remove it in your Google account, the stored comments are deleted and the channel asks you to connect it again. Use Reconnect in the channel list under Settings.
